The cello. Most definitely.
This is why. Turn up the speakers a bit and at least listen until McFerrin sets in. 1:00 tears my heart apart every single time. (In case you're interested: This is all improvised on stage and I can sincerely recommend Jorane's music. Great French artist.)

If you've ever been to a Shindig a lot of the musical choices are my own, and though I hope that they're varied enough you'll notice the prevalence of the guitar, be it electric or acoustic. I love what can be done with a guitar with someone skilled enough, and though through my own laziness I can't play the guitar I own, I'd love to be able to.

I used to play the violin, that is a nice instrument, but practising 2 hours every day became wary...

My fave our my acoustic guitar: which i can hardly play, but im promising myself il learn whilst at uni.
And also the grand piano would have to be the most beautiful...as Drox said it can be rather lovely

Acoustic guitars always sound good, no matter what you're trying to do. I'm still learning, but at least I can play a few bits I like.
