No. I'm pretty sure the guy who predicted that, also predicted that the world would end in the 90's...

It is possible, but then again, the world could end at any time, anything could happen, we could be obliterated by a hitherto unknown asteroid, a nuclear war could start, thus cluster F***ing the climate, the list is endless.

My guess? Nah, we're gonna be fine.

None of us will likely live to die in any "end of the world" scenario.

give me enough resources and i could make this happen. destabilising the mantle or crashing the moon into the planet would do it.

2012 Mayan Calendar 'Doomsday' Date Might Be Wrong

According to all the ridiculous hype surrounding Dec. 21, 2012, the Mayans "predicted" the end of the world with one of their calendars. On this date, doomsayers assert that Earth will be ravaged by a smorgasbord of cataclysmic astronomical events -- everything from a Planet X flyby to a "killer" solar flare to a geomagnetic reversal, ensuring we have a very, very bad day. As we all know by now, these theories of doom are bunkum.

And now, according to a recent study by an associate professor at UC Santa Barbara, this fundamental "end date" may also be inaccurate. It could be at least 60 days out of whack.

Jest aside, the world will not end on May 21st... if it did, it would make Jesus Christ a liar.

No man can predict the time of rupture. It may come today... tomorrow... a thousand years from now... but never on a date "predicted" with numerical calculations by mans attempt to sway people into chaos for the sake of his/her believes.

This news of May 21st is just another way of Satan using the internets influencial power on religion to troll us.

Yes, the world will end on the 21st...
If it doesn't, it'll end 2012...
If it doesn't, it'll end some other time. Every time one prediction fails, a hundred more pop up.

I can imagine it now...

Bond runs into the villain's lair with his pistol steady.
Villain: I've been expecting you, Mr Bond...
Bond: What's your evil plan now, Diamondfinger? You plan to blow up the entire east coast of America?
Villain: No Mr Bond... You see, in my hand, I hold a small device... But it's not a detonator...
Bond edges back.
Villain: You see, Mr Bond, in my hand, is a device that will enable /i, and yes, that includes TNT, lava and fire...
Bond: You fool, I'll kill you the minute you enable it for yourself.
Villain: But that's the brilliant part... It's not for me...
Bond: No... It can't be...
Villain: Yes... Blackadder, kindly show our guest to the door!
Villain enables /i for Black.
Bond turns to see a crazed, drunk Australian holding lava in one hand, TNT in the other.

Will Bond escape?
Will Black destroy the world?
Probably not the latter as this was made two years ago, and I haven't seen any TNT outside my window recently...
