Plenty of times. But I never really know how to handle it. I'm not great at self advertising. I used to offer commissions on another forum, but the amount people were willing to pay, vs the amount of time it took to cater to all their demands was absurd. If converted to an hourly rate it would have been well below minimum wage. Not really a solid base to try and build a career off of. Plus I never got that many requests to begin with. I gave up and decided to wait until I'd improved enough to attract a better client base.

Well i have an artist cousin who does similarish in a sort of way art to you and charges £10 for a simplish painting, £20 for an average one and £30 for a super awesome high depth painting. Next time im in nottingham ill get ya some examples. You could always do that because im sure people would be willing to pay. And try posting some on deviant art

Here is some Art I made for people on my other forum. I took requests on what to make. I don't feel like resizing the images, so I'm leaving them like this.

First off, a monkey dressed as jack sparrow riding a unicorn made of dreams.

Video is almost done, just needs a few touches, and sound obviously.

I've enjoyed After Effects a lot more than I thought I would. I might even start dabbling in video production and vfx again in the future.

These I made with Diablo 3 Concept art for Diablo himself by Blizzard. I chose my favorite concepts and tried to flesh them out in Diablo style cave environment. I was really just learning and experimenting with water reflections. Hope you guys think they turned out as awesome as I did, they're now my desktop backrounds.

And the after effects look cool jake. I would like to get into some video editting instead of just PhotoShop. WOuld be fun to work with muzzle flares and the lighting effects.

For my next module at college I get to write my own briefing, I've chosen to do a series of concept paintings/illustrations based on the novel Dune. Expect lots of pictures of deserts to follow.
