Not pictured: 26" ViewSonic HD monitor (Minecraft in 1920x1200 is AMAZING :D ), crappy 2.1 Creative speakers from like 1997.
How much did this beautiful thing cost?

I'd post a picture of my computer but my room is a mess. Here's the specs
AMD quad core 2.6Ghz processor
4GB RAM
1 160GB harddrive
1 1.5TB harddrive
1 1Gb ati radeon 4800 series graphics card

Hope to build a new one in the next year or two, my desired specs include
AMD 3.0+ eight core processor
4GB Ram
same harddrives
I have no idea about graphics cards

Just finished building my 1,022$ish computer at around 1:30 in the morning on day two of building it. When I'm not nearly as tired as I am now I'll post some pics and specs. The amazing thing about it: I turned it on and could almost not even hear the fans. Put my hand near the vents and felt a very nice flow of air going through. In every previous computer I have had, the fans have been annoyingly loud and useless, so I am awestruck :o oh, and the cpu fan glows green :D

Lost my primary SSD and with it my OS (on my underpowered netbook for now) -- but getting a swank upgrade. Got afraid of losing my 2tb worth of media, so I'm in the middle of setting it up in RAID5 (could do RAID10, but didn't want to spend the cash on an extra disk, plus I only have 6 SATA ports, 1 of which is used by the CD/DVD burner and 3 by the new RAID5). The RAID will have 4tb of space. :3 For my SSD replacements, I'm getting two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820147135 Highest scoring SSD on the market according to tomshardware.com. RAID0 these babies. :3 Maybe Firefox won't f' up so much. D:

I'm too lazy to open the case but here's the guts that matter:
• CPU: Intel i5 2500k 3.3 Ghz
• RAM: 16gig DDR3 1600
• GPU: AMD Radeon 6850
• Storage: 1 TB internal, 2 TB external NAS
• OS: Win7 Home Premium 64
• Case: Cooler Master Cosmos

Thinking about springing for a SSD some day.

Yes, I have 4 linux windows open (more that you can't see), along with our webpage and the game open, but that's the fun of running game servers :)
No one told me that I had broken links, so those are fixed.

So specs, this is an older setup, but still kick ass I think.

Windows 7 gamer:
i7-950 (its a quad core)
24gb ram in triple channel setup
1tb OS drive, 64mb cache 7200 rpm (not a green drive, those are evil except for backups)
four 64gb vertex SSD in a raid 10 for gaming
nvidia 580gtx video
In the pic, the primary monitor is a 28" viewsonic and the one on the left is a 22" viewsonic, these are both connected to the w7 gamer

Mac pro 2006 model:
2.66ghz xeons, dual dual-core (dual processors, each are dual core)
12gb ram, ecc ddr2
2tb 64mb cache 7200 rpm drive for OS
three 1tb drives for data storage
POS video card
24" viewsonic monitor on the right

Synergy (http://synergy-foss.org/) to control them both with 1 keyboard/trakball

Also a note, I use the Mac for browsing, downloading, email, etc. I don't run an antivirus on my gamer, nor anything else to "protect" it, I just game and ssh with the windows machine. I'm safe browsing wherever I want and downloading anything on the Mac.

So, ever since I've had my PoS vista box I bought back in 2008, my PSU's fan has made this really irritating screeching noise that I've just grown to tolerate. However, the day before yesterday I got sick of it and decided to rip apart my PSU, which ended with me almost touching the capacitors (which probably would've killed me) and a mess of PSU components everywhere. As opposed to spending the next three days trying to reassemble it, I decided I'd ditch my PoS computer once and for all, and I finally dropped a few hundred dollars on a new system.

IMG_0021.JPG
IMG_0023.JPG
IMG_0022.JPG
IMG_0026.JPG
IMG_0027.JPG
Then there's the rest of my system specs:

OS: Windows 7
CPU: Quad-core Intel i5
GPU: nVidia GTX 560
RAM: still 4GB
HDD: 600GB
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A (complete with red and green LEDs too :D)
PSU: Thermaltake 600W ATX
Case (because that's hardware): Corsair 330

EDIT: Apparently having a new computer makes my GPU perform WAY better then it did with my old computer - I get 600ish FPS on far render in MC as opposed to the 100ish FPS I'd normally get with normal render.
