Narwhals are a cetacean... If I have to count orcas as whales, I'm definitely counting narwhales

So at the risk of venturing into politics, as Hytro and myself do when whales are involved, I wanted to bring light to the fact that the Australians have done something good and put forth something related to stopping the Japanese whaling for scientific research of whales in Antarctic waters.

I am glad that they have put this forward, and Japan says that it will follow through should it pass the International Court of Justice with favor. But they also agreed to the ban on commercial whaling in the past, yet they used the loophole of scientific research to allegedly carry on, selling the meat after "science" was performed. In the court documents, it brings to fact that in the recent past, the ships under the International Whaling Commission's guise failed to meet their set out quota, no due to the "eco-terrorism" of the Sea Sheperds'(of Whale Wars fame).

Well, it's a dolphin. But dolphins are related to whales and porpoise by Order, Cetacea. Which just means they are more related to whales than Camels, which share a common ancestor with Cetaceans.

So by technicality they are whales, but by technicality, camels are the equivalent of a 3rd cousin to whales
