No one hosts "DJ Battenburg's Friday Shindig" but me. You are more than welcome to do something, but it is not the Friday Shindig and you cannot use the official channel (at any rate you wouldn't be able to due to the restrictions put on it).

Another good Shindig. However, I have an announcement to make.

The last Shindig will be on the 9th of September. That means there are only 3 Shindigs left.

This is because, first of all, they generally last around 5 or 6 hours, and more likely the latter. It's rather exhausting, even if I am just sitting. At the same time I have also found myself becoming busier, taking on different and classified responsibilities around here, which take priority over the Shindig, which not only cuts into my time when it's on, but usually my entire Friday and sometimes a chunk of my Thursday in order to make the pre-recordings.

When I first started this I looked forward every Friday to the Shindig, but seeing how different it is from how it started out, I have steadily come to feel some sense of trepidation when the time is approaching. I'd rather not leave it with a sense of hatred towards it, so I'd like to leave it when there's still a bit of enjoyment left.

Also, to a much lesser extent, I can't play a song without someone complaining because they don't like it, or expressly telling everyone in chat that they've muted it. It irritates me.
