Apparently. From what I can piece together it sounds like a combination of false internet girlfriends that require no effort, and those that don't understand the entire concept.

Re: Post Pictures of Your Pets
I think it's time this thread was revived, it was always nice to see everyone's pets. Anyways, I'll kick things off again and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's submissions!
Meet Booga:
Booga is a three-year-old Bearded Dragon whom I adopted two weeks ago from my local pet supply store (they carry a small selection of animals as well). He had been given to the store by the parents of his previous owners, who I'm told, said their children were no longer giving him the proper care and attention he needed. Indeed, Booga has had a tough life up until this point; he had been dropped at some point by his previous owners and broke both his front wrists. For whatever reason, he was never taken to the vet and his front claws healed incorrectly, but he remains very active and doesn't appear to be in any pain. I'm told he was also attacked by the family cat on one occasion, and he has a scar on the top of his head as a result, not to mention that he is very small for a Bearded Dragon of his age; likely due to malnourishment . Hearing his story I couldn't in good conscience leave an animal in such need of love behind. I went home, cleaned out an old tank I had there (I used to have Leopard Geckos) and before the end of the night, Booga had a new home!
He's been a wonderful addition to the family ever since, and there isn't a moment that I regret bringing him home. We brought home a larger tank for him the other day, and he seems to be adjusting well to his new environment. He's even started to eat more vegetables over the past few days, which is good because they're supposed to account for about 80% of an adult Bearded Dragon's diet. He responds well to being handled despite his past experience and has even fallen asleep on my lap a couple of times.
Thanks for reading, and I can't wait to see everyone's pets!

Re: Post Pictures of Your Pets
Minner, you just restored my faith in humanity.
mah pets
This is Amodeus, a horse that we had until a year or so ago, he was horsey, and a horse.
http://imgur.com/Ap55mfy
This is Josh, a Golden Retriever, who had to be put down, at the ripe old age of 15, just before Amo did
http://i.imgur.com/KxOan8Bl.jpg
This is Meg, a 6 year old black Labrador.
http://i.imgur.com/dnZ4DbMl.jpg
And this is the reason that she's all huddled up: Tarn, our 18 month old Labrador. She is a little bit stupid sometimes...

Penultimately, our cat, Willow, who has to put up with all of the others, being a little older than Meg.
http://i.imgur.com/FnJVGlJl.jpg
And what she might well be staring at, my fishtank, which unfortunately only has 2, very fat, guppies in it at the moment (it's also not as sparklingly clean).

Along with these my sister has a hamster, but I cba to find a picture.

Re: Post Pictures of Your Pets
Komodo dragons have pits in the back of their teeth specifically to grow bacteria in, so that a slight scratch will fester and kill their victim. It's pretty awesome.

Re: Post Pictures of Your Pets
I don't know if I ever told you guys this, but about a year ago my dog pictured in the OP died. I had had him since I was a few months old, so I was depressed about it for quite awhile.
Anyway, today we got a new dog. My parents had been looking for one of this breed for a few months, but they usually go for about $500. This guy sprung up at an animal shelter by my grandparent's place, so we were able to adopt him for free.
