Singleplayer Modding
Just wondering what mods people use in single player and whether they recommend it
I currently use the mo'creatures mod for extra animals which is awesome, Zans minimap mod for obvious reasons and my personal favourite:
Colonycraft!
Colonycraft gives you: A Lumberjack to automatically cut wood down; a miner to um mine automatically; a farmer to farm automatically and a deliveryman to get all the resources and bring them back to the main chest.
You also get a gold and iron scepter that can be used to make a house if you right click the workers homes with the gold sceptre and make a fence around the workers border area for working with the iron sceptre
I would suggest getting colonycraft!
-=EDIT=-
Here is the colonycraft website URL
http://sites.google.com/site/minecolony/home
-=DOUBLE EDIT=-
This is a building mod that is quite awesome

For those of you running on resouces ive found this cloning mod:

Singleplayer? the few times I bother to play SP, I play pure vanilla - except for my texturepack of course.

Re: Singleplayer Modding
So ColonyCraft is basically when you don't want to play the game?

Re: Singleplayer Modding
its for when you dont want to collect basic resouces and you want to build a small town. It also makes single player feel less lonesome and gives you the resources to make big projects

I would expect it would give a first person RTS-like feel.SneakyPie wrote:So ColonyCraft is basically when you don't want to play the game?

Do the npcs actually chop down trees? or do they just 'magically' generate resources?

Re: Singleplayer Modding
I know this basically ruins the point of single player, but I use single player commands, basically the /give or /item Command in single player, which let's me build amazing things, like minecart stations between my houses.
Re: Singleplayer Modding
Huh, isn't chat disabled in SP? Or is that also a mod?

[MOD] Single Player Commands [1.2-BETA|V2.2]
Give you commands for single player, very nice if you feel like just fooling around.

Delphi then said "Huh, isn't chat disabled in SP? Or is that also a mod?" so I gave more info then you did, deal with it =p

Re: Singleplayer Modding
D'oh! Sorry, here's some info:
Planes mod is where you can create plane parts using wood and sticks. You take the plane parts you made and create a plane. You place it on the ground and right click it. Then you control it using the keys W, A, S, D, and Z, I believe. You can fly around the world easily and fast. I will edit this in a few minutes with a link.
