I have 9 characters currently, all on Draka, US;

Mallaken, 85 Blood Elf Paladin, PvP Retribution (MS), PvE Protection (OS).
Improbable, 60 Tauren Hunter, PvE Marksmanship (MS), no OS.
Lavelle, 60 Blood Elf Priest, PvE Discipline (MS), no OS.
Mallakai, 72 Blood Elf Rogue, PvE Assassination (MS), PvP Subtlety (OS).
Mallanium, 60 Blood Elf Mage, PvE Frost (MS), no OS.
Mallagin, 60 Tauren Warrior, PvE Protection (MS), no OS.
Mallajay, 65 Tauren Druid, PvE Balance (MS), no OS.
Jouna, 64 Tauren Shaman, PvE Elemental (MS), no OS.
Elidea, 63 Blood Elf Death Knight, PvE Frost (MS), no OS.

Mallaken is my Blacksmith, Improbable my Leatherworker, Lavelle my Enchanter/Tailor, Mallakai my Engineer/Jewelcrafter, Mallanium my Inscriptionist, and Mallagin my Alchemist. Everyone else has gathering professions, all at least level 300+.

Mallaken is my main (obviously) and has such significant achievements as Insane in the Membrane (pre-cata, when it was harder), What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been, 3000 Quests Completed (the Seeker), and The Loremaster. I don't raid much, so have no significant raiding achievements. I do, however, have a Traveller's Tundra Mammoth (16,000 Gold...), am Exalted with over 40 reputations, and have Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker (but who DOESN'T have that one nowadays, eh?).

All this I accomplished within a year and a half. I have since stopped playing WoW since Cata, and now play Minecraft as obsessively.

In short, I fail at life. :-D

I don't suppose there is the possibility to create something that looks delightfully sophisticated? I mean, I wouldn't actually play the game, but there needs to exist something that exudes class.

Well you have The new class of the Worgen, It might be a little furry but it is represented as the counterpart to the British in World of Worcraft. I found myself having a jolly good time running around, and my top hat is a real classy accessory

Pic related it's my worgen alt.

I need a tux for his top hat to enjoy it's full effect though.

Btw have anyone started raiding yet?
And what do you guys think of cataclysm.

I got it from a worgen quest, It's called Lord Walden's Top Hat :)
http://www.wowhead.com/item=58255/lord-waldens-top-hat

I'm not sure you can get it on a non worgen char, but,,, it's the same model as High Society Top Hat which you can make with tailoring at lvl 500, it's very cheap to make.

Hope this helps.
