thats odd. i played on Vietnam yesterday and my team managed to hold a choke point on the village Rush map for almost a full game by our medics reviving people.

and yes. people who play Sniper instead of Recon are terrible people who need to be set on fire and run over with a tank... oh wait

Well, I finally got it working. It's great, everything is very pretty, and the gameplay is good. There are lots of bugs, however. There's quite a few places where you sink into the ground, and there's a bunch of random graphical bugs.

All in all, I'd be playing this for a long time, if my computer could handle it properly. I'm just using a laptop, after all.

I primarily play Conquest, and I don't have any of the DLC so... Anyways, I actually play only engineer and recon. When I'm recon I use the SVU with a 4x optic. It's like I'm using a silenced FAL, I love it. I just follow a bit back from my teammates and provide cover fire while they cap the points, or I call in mortar strikes on buildings where other recons are sitting. Also, I toss motion mines EVERYWHERE.

I've signed up as Lord_Berwick (lionheart was already taken).

There is a serious lack of recruits going on here.

Woah I did not notice this. I applied for the platoon. Been having a great time with this game, even managed to sneak into the 64 player conquest map. Jets flying overhead among all the tanks and stuff is crazy.

Now, when it comes to things like this, I'm a complete idiot, so after a couple of hours of trying to get my head around what I needed to do, I realised that my cheapest option would cost me about $150, something I can't quite afford right now.

How do you join up exactly? If I try to log onto Battlelog to offer Beta feedback or click the OP link it comes up with the log in screen. For an Origin account, when I'm not going to get Origin because my parents freak out over it...

Is there any other way to offer feedback for the Beta or join a 'toon since I don't see why console players' opinions are less valid or important/shouldn't be able to join a platoon.

EDIT: Sorry, is it an account on Origin the website, or Origin the software? If it's the website then I'm fine...

Aaand, why can't an Xbox player join? Would you like it if I created a 360 'toon, 'cause I know there are quite a few Xbox players who do EC and will get BF3...

All three platforms can join our platoon, obviously you can't invite cross platform into the game, and not sure if you can use a voice channel to talk, but would be pointless if you aren't in game together.

I haven't been using the origin voice, I have it turned off, been using vent for team play.

It keeps saying 'you cannot apply to join this platoon with your currently selected soldier'. COuld someone look at my account (as much as you can) and tell me any reasons why/tell me any restrictions Sneaky placed on the 'toon?

And (off topic): AWW SNEAKY? Why do I see your 4th best wep as the RPG? That's just nooby! XD

Me too vallorn. All I use now. I'm one of the few non-useless recons on console. I also love plonking down a LMG with a bi-pod on it and laying waste to all who venture in front of me.

the thing is you have to play to each classes secondary gadgets to get the most points so for medic find choke spots and heal/revive teammates, for engineer remove oponnents cover and make your team some craters to hide in, support needs to find a fortified location and hold it while resupplying his teammates with ammo and recon needs to sneak up near objectives or behind enemy lines and drop radio transmitters.

in fact my one big problem with the recon class is that you dont get points when teammates use your mobile spawn points which i think dissuades people from placing them for anyone but themselves.

I generally find a safe spot in view of the M-COM, plop down the radio thingy, then give cover fire as my teammates plant the bomb.

Yeah, if anyone plays me on '360, look in the top floor of the house (left of the axis of advance) on the side facing the MCOM. There will be a mobile spawn there...
