I tried Tribes 2 about a year or two ago and it was MASSIVE fun. However, there was the slight problem that I was unable to hit the side of a barn with that Spinfusor, every damn shot fell too short or too far. I'll be looking forward to this.

Yeah, the 'fusor has always been a tricky weapon to get down, but, once you get used to it, it becomes a massively powerful tool. The thing is, that it's so accurate. I tried to play Tribes 2, and I'm terrible at it. Also, I was getting some issues with it, but I can run TF2 on max settings perfectly... Oh well, back to roasting some peeps.

tribes 2 was not a successor to tribes 1... the original tribes had a great physics setup that they ruined in the sequal. If Ascend can duplicate the original feel, it will be huge, I have hopes that they can do that.
If not, it will flop like the rest of the tribes sequels did.

As you can see from that wiki quote... Earth Siege is what started it all and is the first in the over all series.
