So I've been replaying Skyrim recently. Ya know that Khajiit J'zargo in the College of Winterhold? The one who asks you really smugly when you first join whether you've mastered expert level destruction magic? Well that always annoyed me, so this playthough I made a point of leveling my destruction past lvl 75 before joining the college.

Unfortunately Bethesda don't seem to have planned for this outcome since the dialogue options don't change. So after admitting that expert level destruction magic was far out of my reach, I zapped him with my expect level destruction magic and went to join the bards college instead.

This has also been my first time properly leveling alchemy (lvl100) and speech (lvl80). I had no idea selling potions could be so lucrative. Once you've built up a decent skill level in each you can basically go to any alchemy shop, buy up all their ingredients, craft them into potions, and sell them back at an obscene profit.

You want to talk about obscene profit, try running an Imperial thief. ;)

Swimming in septims.

I've tried playing a thief before. It's a pretty solid way to make money, and the appeal of being able to steal the armor right off the back of a passing guard can't be overstated, but unless I missed something fundamental when I tried it it's not in the same league.

Unlike most loot potions take up barely any inventory weight, you can be carrying 100k worth of potions for the same weight as an enchanted sword. With my current set up mine sell for between 500-3000 septims each, but I expect I could get that a lot higher if I messed around with enchanting and finished putting points into speech. With alchemy the hardest part is finding NPCs who still have money left to buy.

I disagree. Whereas you make potions, I steal them along with everything else in the shop. Besides, I find sneaking around town at night, robbing everyone blind without every being seen much more fun than making potions.

P.S.: Were you playing an Imperial? Imperials find more gold than other races.

Yey gold... but then again, I really don't have need for gold except for buying houses... and then again most of my houses/strongholds are modded in, and usually quests to get the deed for it instead of buying them.

I just started a new challenge playthrough. Well part challenge, part experiment.

My self imposed rules:
Master difficulty
No armor. Enchanted clothing and jewelry are allowed
All level up points must go into stamina. Health and Magicka must stay at 100
Pacifist. No killing allowed

My aim is to level up as far as I can while abiding these rules and build up as must stamina as possible. I then want to see just how it's possible to run uninterrupted on single bar of stamina. (Once I've gotten as far as I think I can within my rules I'll probably cheat my way to level 81 and see if it's possible to make it from one side of the map to the other.)

The Elder Sims?
Should be interesting. I hope there's enough customization in the build options to let you construct a castle.

I need this.

I wonder if you can just buy any spot of land? I may just have to go look for a nice spot now.

Unless they've introduced a way to let you terraform the landscape to avoid clipping issues, I imagine you'll be limited to predesignated locations.

We are intrigued but our interest is not yet high enough to consider this as a day 1 purchase.

I'm pretty sure the land is predesignated, and I wonder if this is the only design for a home we can build, as that will be very boring. But with this new thing implemented with house building, adopting kids and all that stuff, just think of how much the mod community can make out of this.

Might pick it up. Too bad the assholes at Microsoft made it so that the PC players like myself have to wait a month before we can play it.

No worries Sti_Jo_Lew, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of PC mods to either keep you entertained until the DLC comes out or perhaps you'll find a mod that's better than this.

Lol, probably. Too bad my PC can only run Skyrim at an amazing 8fps on lowest graphics. :P

yeouch, I feel you buddy. I did so much tweaking and research on my end to get mine to run decently and I still had my share of FPS problems.

For all you pc users, just want to tell you that you guys have this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18480/ ... id%3D18480 , it is pretty much Hearthfire's house building. I will say this mod is more aimed for the console users... and the pc users who don't know how to mod and find mods >.> And you have the adopt a child mod also, but I'm to lazy to get the link for that one.

*ding*
"Ah, the baklava is ready!"

THE ELDER SCROLLS V: PIERIM

I guess you could say I'm the ... *shades* Doughvakiin.

A great guest mod that adds a lot more on the Dark Brotherhood quest line after you are done with the vanilla.

Gopher
A great way to learn about some great mods are to watch Gophers Videos on youtube, a experience modder who have made many great mods for Skyrim, Fallout 3 and NV. He is featured on Skyrim Nexus with his videos where he takes shows a few mods and then shows you how to install them (great for you people who are not good at installing mods). He also have a Skyrim let's play, where he keeps adding mods and testing different mods, so this is also a great way to find new and amazing mod that might fit you.
