So this morning I got out of bed and realized that by being in the PST, my friends and I will literally be among the last people in the world to buy Skyrim tonight.

God damn it. ._.

You can take solace in the fact that I'll have to wait until morning to buy it, sit through a whole day of lectures, and only then, almost a day after its release, be able to play it.

Tomorrow will be torture.

I don't plan on buying the game at least for several weeks so all the bugs will get ironed out as is Bethesda's fashion.

To break this constant list of when we'll be getting Skyrim, here's the newest sketch from the game station, which sheds some light on the dragonborn's heritage.
Spoiler! :

Yeah... I don't think I will be much online... I won't be gone, hey, who will make you cacti if I'm not there? :D
And when I watched that video I was about to write about why they really are called Dragonborn, then I remembered it's a comedy sketch and I'm way to sleepy...

I still feel like this though...

I HATE STEAM!!!

Okay, now that have been said, for those who are installing from a DVD, steam will ignore this and make you downloade the damn game. As for me that ATM do not have any internet on my DVD, that is a big problem, for those with limited or bad bandwidth.
Here is how you force Steam to install from the DVD.

Beware the House of Horrors bug, more often than not you'll become locked inside and have to reload a save.

Fortunately, Skyrim keeps track of your last three quicksaves - however, if you enter and exit the house before succumbing to the glitch, then you're screwed. I have to reload a save and lose about two hours of work. ;_;

Care to elaborate? Is this just a glitch for any house, or a specific house? My copy's arriving today and I don't want to have to swear loudly and repeatedly on my first day of playing...

House of Horrors sounds like the name of a quest, so I guess keep an eye out for it.

I'm getting so many quests thrown at me from every angle, I think I might just go take some time to explore. I want to go to Winterhold, but it looks like a bit of a trek.

Concerning House of Horrors, yeah, it's a quest. It's in Markarth, I'm thinking it's actually one of the random encounter quests - someone walks up and asks you if you've seen anything suspicious in or outside this house, you say no, they say you okay, you offer to help investigate, typical Elder Scrolls stuff. From that point you go inside the house, and after a few stages, it comes to the point where you need to leave in order to continue the quest (or your life.. ._.) and you can't. This is when you need to reload a save; take one of the most recent autosaves, and just put that quest on the shelf until the next patch is out. Even reloading a save won't stop the bug from happening, so we're sitting ducks.

In my effort to not spoil anything, I guess I didn't help at all the first time. .-.

On another note, last night I finished the Dark Brotherhood questline. I really don't want to spoil anything, but if you want to experience you might wanna read this; getting in is actually quite a trick and can be buggy, and there's little info on the net about it.
Spoiler! :
Go to an innkeeper and ask about rumors. He may or may not tell you that there's a boy in Windhelm trying to perform the Black Sacrament, and give you his name. From there, travel to Windhelm and talk with the boy. He'll think you're an assassin coming to do his bidding, and after some convincing him otherwise, you can learn what his contract entails.

This will initiate the quest, "Innocence Lost", in which you must travel to Riften and do the boy's bidding. Here, be tactful in speaking to someone named Maul; he's got ties to the Black Briars and has a very minor role in the Brotherhood, but may become important should you pursue other questlines. Once you've finished the contract, go back and tell the kid. This will finish the quest, and the next part is what's bugged.

From here, a courier should approach you with a mysterious note. It has only a picture of a black hand, and the words "We know". This will start the quest "With Friends Like These.." and after going to sleep that night you'll find yourself more familiar with the Dark Brotherhood's workings. If you don't receive the note, you need to wait a few days and then sleep in an inn, and the game will simply skip the courier stage and send you to the next one.

Successfully enrolled myself in the College of Winterhold - it turned out to be not as far as I'd thought. Though I did suffer an attempt on my life by the Dark Brotherhood on the way. :/

Also, I found out that those mountain giant/ogre things can one-hit me.

I think I know what I'll be asking for Christmas.
