Haven't heard a track like that in a game before, kinda reminds me of the stuff in Contra: Hard Corps. I really need to get round to playing the DLC for that game.

Might not be everyone's thing but I certainly enjoyed it for the most part.

Better than I was expecting, especially because I hold no stock in smartphone games.
8/10
And another Bastion song! Despite the fact I've never played the game.

9/10. Pretty good. Also, if the youtube url is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSuba0LSkwQ then remove the = and everything before it, giving you OSuba0LSkwQ

None of those reasons make a song "wrong". The song has elegant simplicity, and it pulls it off well. Conversely, your song choice was varied and used many instruments, but I find it incredibly dull for what seemed to be an attempt at a sweeping orchestral piece.
Oh, and to AoE 2, 7/10. I probably had to play it to appreciate it more.

Never played Mother 3. Shame on me, so any attempts of nostalgia is lost on me.
Nevertheless it's a catchy tune, and it sticks in your head. 7/10

5/10. Back when I played Runescape (I actually began playing it again for about a week a few months ago) I found that I tried to start playing as fast as possible so that I wouldn't have to listen to it. I don't really know why I don't like it, I just don't.

Already had this one on my favorites on youtube, good song.
I love the stuff that SongeLeReveur does and the people he does collaborations with.

I'm going to base it on the actual game version and not this remix, but still, a solid 9.5/10
As for me... this has been stuck in my head lately.

10/10 because Tim Follin. I was going to feature that song in my long-ass post about composers.
Re: The VG music thread (Read the rules!)
yah i love tim follin. as for the theme, 8.5/10 its a grwat theme.
this is possibly the best song for one of the hardest bosses in gaming history, well the orginal sega genisis version at least, and before someone says its mean bean's multi playertheme, this is a remix of the orginal puyo puyo's final boss theme. the orginal puyo puyo came out before mean bean, mean bean is a reamke of the first game with sonic charecters.

6/10. It's probably better when you're playing the game, but I'm not playing that game.

8.5/10 I always like a good orchestral theme to a game. Nice pick. Kind of reminds me of a lot of movies though, which makes it a bit less memorable in a way. *listens* Wait... did John Williams make this theme? If so that explain why it sounds so familiar.
But I see your Metal of Honor theme and raise you a Splinter Cell: Conviction song.

Re: The VG music thread (Read the rules!)
7.5/10. It seems like it's more suited for being in the background while playing the game, and I don't have the game. Also, I thought it was John Williams too, but it isn't.

9/10 A very nice track there 697. I like the vocals.
And here's something a little more hard-hitting then.

8.5/10 reminds me of custom robo, i like its slow but aweso me develpment
NOW FOR A SONG THAT DOES NOT BELONG IN THE GAME ITS IN!
as for the final of puyo puyo it depends HEVILY on the battle as shown here the hardest boss ever harder than mike tyson!

Re: The VG music thread (Read the rules!)
An 8/10 for the first. It does a fair job at slowly building some amount of tension as it progresses, but loses it throughout.
A 7/10 for the second one. I imagine it's better when you're playing, but still, I like it.
Here's something that I find to be rather calming.
I think it goes wonderfully when playing Minecraft and building/exploring in a snow biome.

this thread doesn't have enough bastion.

8.5/10 Good song Taint. Also... you did it wrong, but we'll overlook it. =p
As for me... Let's try some bit of nostalgia.
