Need Help. Small private server, Port Forwarding

Post by nart_21086 » 13 Jun 2011, 23:42

My friend and I started a server earlier and we were sitting right next to each other so we used the internal ip address. now we are trying to access it once more and cant get the port to open. We tried this argument in the port forwarding page on the router settings:

<static external ip address> Custom Ports Both 25565.

we applied and tested to see if the port was open but it wasn't.

help please.

Hold up Wokka, leave this to the ISP Support! http://portforward.com/ and canyouseeme.org

What Brand and model of modem do you have? Do you use a router + a modem or one that does both? Any HNE devices?

What lath said.
You'll need to go into your router settings and manually open port 25565.
It sounds hard but when you know what your doing it's a doddle

If all else fails, slap it around a bit.
