RP: Adventures in a mansion.

"Indeed... well I'm assuming that me, you and the cat fellow aren't the only people around here so perhaps to find the owner we must find others yes?"

After reaching the top if the stairs Rook walked down a long hall, following the smell of food. He passes an open door and stops abruptly. Inside is a massive kitchen. Hunger problem solved.

"Indeed... well I'm assuming that me, you and the cat fellow aren't the only people around here so perhaps to find the owner we must find others yes?"

"M-Makes sense to me. Should we f-f-follow the gentleman up-pstairs?"

[Also, maybe we should start quoting people we are talking with/etc. So it's easier to follow]

"yes let's go" Fang tells Mr Whales as they set off

As you climb the stairs to the first floor the main doors swing shut with a thunderous crash, You hear a soft *click* as they lock themselves with you inside.

"Rook!" Fang yells as the doors close behind him, "we better find another way before the house eats us"

Evan walks out of the broken staircase to examine the broken stairs. Seems to be around 7-15 years since it was created.

Rook hears Fang yelling for him and finishes devouring his 27th can of sardines. He walks back towards Fang but hits an invisible wall. "What the cat hell..." It turns out to be glass, but it couldn't have been there earlier because he walked this way to get to the kitchen. "Fang, I think I'm stuck!"

*Windy ignores those around him and walks off thinking that if he tries to join up with others the mansion may force him to become separate.

"Rook, S-s-stand back!" exclaims Thomas through the glass. He gentle leans against the glass and it shatters violently.

[LS13]

"Thanks large... fish thing..." Rook's mouth starts watering, but he resists. "Where has everyone else gotten off to?"

@Rook: Roll 2, 6 sided dice and tell me what you get.

@whales you do the same with 1 dice.

@Windmill. You hear an unearthly wailing from far down the hall ahead of you.

@Fang. Nothing happens to you yet.

@Evan: Roll 2, 6 sided dice like Rook.

*Windy continues down the hall and heads towards what he reckons is the source of the noise*

okay Whales you notice a faint hissing from somewhere, it is then you notice the smell of gas upon the air.

Rook failed his check even with 2 dice and so doesn't notice the gas in the hallway.

*BTW the gas is cooking gas, not poison*

*boom gas???*

Thomas noticed a hissing and the smell of gas."S-Smells like someone is c-c-cooking... hope it's k-krill. S-should we check it out?"

"more like a gas leak, RUN!" Fang starts running down a corridor as quick as he can.

*Windy reaches the end of a corridor and see's that it splits at a fork. Unsure which way the sound might've come from, he tries to read what the random and yet somewhat convenient sign says*

Thomas follows suit and runs down a few corridors until he realizes he is hopelessly lost.

Fang turns around to see if Whales is following but there is only space. "Lost again," he whispers

Rook tries following Thomas but somehow manages to lose the giant whale. "What the cat hell... it's like these halls are changing..."

there is a loud roar as the gas ignites in the hallway. the flames manage to singe Rook's tail and scorch the back of Iron's heels before dissipating.

"Alright then gerald, the bedroom it is. See what you can make out of that cheese and krill we 'liberated' from the kitchen"

*Windy heads to the extra bedroom still listening for the source of the unearthly wailing*

Evan you find a hidden trapdoor in the ruin of the stairs. trouble is its securely locked with no way that you can see to open it.
