Seeing as how Luke opted for an obsolete style of revolver in that era, the shots would not have the penetration power to rip through the wall. They would ricochet, shatter, or embed themselved shallowly into the wall.

I was also looking forward to it. I spent a fair amount of time typing my bio up and choosing my 3 items, keeping in mind lethality and time period.
