looks pretty great M477! :D

TTW: Pause on the lightstone lamps lighting around branchscape. In the next update, we get lanterns... O_O

What does everyone think? Lanterns or Lightstone?

After messing about on 1.2 Ive noticed a few things. If we want lanterns there gonna need some redstone connecting to them, Ocelots are pretty awesome once you tame them and tanis will im guessing hate the new doubled height as it means were gonna have to build bigger :3

You could maybe make an ultra private tree the size of original br for a stack of dia or something.

O_O don't even suggest such a thing. Next thing you know, a group of players will save up for that -_-

Doubled height = love/hate. This means a new design is in the works: Yggdrasil, the world tree. It also means I'll need another year... and that someone else more motivated than me will have to take over windwillow. Lanterns... I think we may just use lightstone as we shouldn't need to turn them on and off. :P

Tonight I can begin construction of Farmscape, the bedrock and a small area over it is almost clear. Expect crops by tommorow.

After zin put up his 'draw zin' contest, I got gimp to work on my submission for it. <3 gimp. I never got the hang of photoshop, and since all of my pictures tend to be simple, gimp has just the right amount of features for me. At anyrate, I decided that it was time for me to have a better avatar than Celestia-rage. So... several hours later, I have an OC standing in front of my surf shack... with a shadow behind it. Dat shadow. 1.5 hours of finangling went into that shadow till I figured out that I had layers and a perspective transformation... -_-

Hehe Tanis, I spent 5 minutes practically copying and pasting my Yogscast Avatar!

Having done the math my farm if using only melons can produce 540 melons per floor and 19,440 melons total.

Nope I have no idea how to make it auto, it does mean if you need food you'll have your choice of thousands of melons to harvest.

Really easy to make it auto. Have pistons push up the blocks. Then whatever is on top of the block pops off but the ground remains tilled. If there is a melon stalk next to it when the piston lowers again then it just starts growing another melon.

However that greatly decreases the land that the melons can grow on, greatly decreasing your total melons. So more melons vs auto :(

It may be worth it though. 3 block rows. 1 for the stalk, 1 for the melon and one for the water. Takes about a hundredth of the time to harvest and you don't have to worry about accidentally unhoeing the ground.

I've also always wondered about that sugarcane

As for Farmscape, first level has irrigation and I'm starting planting. The overhead lighting will be started later today.

Look at it this way Tanis, the sooner you finish WW the sooner you can start work on that tree whose name I won't even try to spell.
