Yeah... That would be good.

At the moment me and venomm have contributed a total of 7 dia blocks and 2 dia from our personal stores. It would be really awesome if other people in the town would help us get to our goal of 10 box for the town cuboid. Just donating a dia would be great, and this will help protect your houses and make branchscape an even nicer place.

okay... wheres that button...

"IMPORTANT ANOUNCEMENT!"

From this point onwards, we will be instituting an in-tree rent. This is to encourage more ground cottages, as well as server activity. If you have a house within the main tree, this applies to YOU.

-All houses(shops are exempt) will need a mailbox of sorts which I can open.
-The rent per week will be 1 IRON INGOT.
-If you do not pay the rent, you have 2 weeks after which to pay it (a sign will be posted, and if the time limit is exceeded, an eviction sign will be placed.)
-All proceeds will not go into my "person stash" but rather a deposit for community and public works construction.

All Cuboids Moves have been paid for. (2 of them, one for branchscape proper, and one for Venomm's castle)

Here is a rough sketch of future plans... as well as an outline of the region i think we should claim.

I'm going to be honest and ask do you really need that much land? because that's a hell of a lot.

mate thats more land than i own in southern Fyra.
claim less mate. ;)

its not that i resent it. its just that having large naturalised landlcaims leads to idiots walking in there and building houses which isnt fun for anyone. (experience from Mentor Resort)

I will be honest, a landclaim like that will be considered obscene and likely not permitted. This is the last large map we'll have for Escapecraft for some time. We will be expecting that players will build first, then expand... not chew up large chunks of territory with a claim, then start building.

Righto. I went overboard on land claim..
its just that it all looks so cool, and its nice not to have other people too close to the main centers...

Does this look like a more reasonable amount?

To clear something up about rent: People may buy out their houses completely for 1 dia, and never pay rent again. (2 dia for the large houses)

People that have done so will be listed as homeowners on the main page, and renters as such as well.

Okay, I've had a few conversations about future plans with other players on the server, probably with not all residents present, so I though I might give anyone that didn't know about these plans a heads up.

Vulpis - This is a pine tree first thought up by yabai_ninja, who is currently creating designs for it. If this plan comes to fruition, it would be of branchscape scale, and contructed in Borjan as an 'arcane military' base of branchscape, sporting walls, towers, libraries, and potion rooms.

Windwillow - This is a far future plan of a tree similar to branchscape in that it would spot civilian plots. Essentially, a willow tree version of branchscape.

Outpost- Since we will be leaving terra, we will most likely leave behind a momento, or outpost of branchscape in the location we are currently at.

Mentor/Student - I have been discussing this Idea with venomm, and I would like to know any thoughts on it. Basically, I would be taking on a few 'students' and teach them my process of building personal trees. This way, when new ones are requested, I will not be the only one working on them. After students have 'graduated', they can take requests to make personal trees, and set their own prices (6 dia per tree is recommended), much like how I am doing it now, with one exception: 1 dia from the payment will be taken for branchscape, and put in the branchscape vault (which will in turn be used to pay community structures.)

Town Cuboid- Yes we have now acquired enough DB to get a town cuboid. This means that we will now be creating a grid of sorts of ground cottage plots.(me and venomm will handle that. we have some ideas on how to keep it looking natural and ungrid-like.)

New Tree Plots- For those of you that haven't noticed, there are a total of 8 new premade tree plots being added to the top of the tree. These will be buy-able for 1 dia apiece, and will be non rentable.

Rent- This is official. Rent will be 1 iron a week, to the total of 16 iron, or plots will be buyable for 1 dia.

I like the sound of the "rent" plan! I think it will work very well. The idea of the pine trees and the other kind of tree will be VERY awesome! I can't wait! Also, do I need to move my underground vault in my private tree?
Please let me know soon! I hope the move goes great! I will be there all along because I will not have any homework (school gets out this Wednesday) I am so ready for Winter Break! The fire pit will be really nice- I will make it my first objective to get done ( this week, or less) I will make it out of nether-rack, lighter, wooden steps (cobble if possible too) I really feel like the dock has came out nicely.. let me know if you need any help, and I would like to go to your "school of trees" if that is possible! I also built my first giant tree in a single-player (I could spawn things though) It turned out pretty good- but I did not know how to do the very top of it like you do! So... please respond soon! I also love being the deputy... and I am in love with the town : )

You will need to move the vault, as it may be below the level of the cuboid move.

I would be interested in checking out that tree sometime... Let me know where it is the next time I'm on.
I will be starting 'tree school' after wednesday, so as soon as winter break starts. If you are online, then I can start teaching you then. We will probably do the lesson(s) in creative for the sake of time and mats.
