the Mentor Resort

Post by vallorn » 09 Jun 2011, 11:59

im building a resort in SW Fyra to allow us all a nice place to live. despite its name its membership will not be restricted to Mentors but non Mentors will have less priority with space than Mentors.

i have the most recent Google Maps of it with some annotations by myself detailing current buildings and landclaims in the below Spoiler.
Spoiler! :
Mentoria landclaim.PNG
its coordinates are X= +1337 Z= +616 (thats just slightly west of the Mentor Hall) and te easiest way to get there for the moment is to take the Fyran South Tram to the end. then just to the left of the MagmaVale entrance is a small wooden structure with a Lift down to a station which will take you the rest of the way there.

-_- considering the amount of MOD ONLY settlements and even worlds. one where priority is given to mentors but still allows non mentors to live there isnt that elitist.

especially as its looking REALY nice! :D

I'll be honest, I first considered it elitism, but I did like the idea of using it in order to help newer players more easily, so I'm all for it.

And I don't know of any settlements that are only for moderators, but then again, I only live in one house, which isn't part of any settlement.

well then consider Herpmyderps resort which was VIPVET only. im still allowing (read encouraging) people to make a house here but if a Mentor and you are arguing over land i will give it to the mentor unless youve built on it already in which case its up to the Mods to sort it out.

There is Now a line between MagmaVale and the Mentor Resort. the MagmaVale station can be accessed via a [lift down] in the wooden structure just off to one side of the lava fountains.

enjoy! :D

after massive violations of landclaim rules i am instating that if you build within my border without my permission im tearing your house down.

if you trash my beaches then you are evicted with 1 weeks notice

if you do both... lets just say my supply of TNT will be diminished...

i will NO LONGER tolerate the missuse of my carefully sculpted land. i was kind enough to make this open to everyone who asked but if this continues i will have no choice but to restrict it to Mentors and above only...

please do not make me take that option.
BEATING TIME!.jpg
on a related note after talking with 2 mods about a town built just inside my borders it was decided that as it was on my land i could confiscate the materials. the chests have been left untouched and i will contact the people owning them shortly to get them to remove thier items.

I trust the perimeter of your land is clearly marked all the way around with cobble or something equally noticeable?

Sandstone mostly.

EDIT: it turns out that Fyras border got bigger and noone told me. because of that my border wall was a bit short.

however it still ended right in the middle of thier town so they cant not have seen it.

im fixing my wall to cope with the expanded border now.
