[15w32b] Caketown | 1.9 snapshot server

This isn't "official" since it's against the rules to advertise external servers, but I work here so I'm gonna slap an Escapecraft badge on it. If the EC admins want to start their own server, I'll take mine down.

So with the arrival of the first 1.9 snapshots, I've decided to make a more permanent "temp server" that I'll keep updated with the latest version. For those not in the know, "Caketown" definitely wasn't a town made of cake on a previous temp server, which definitely wasn't exploded into a crater. None of these things happened, absolutely not. Let's never speak of these things that didn't happen ever again. Anyway, here's how to join!

Server address is haxx.co.uk

How to play snapshots:
- Open your Minecraft launcher
- Click "New Profile" in bottom left, give it a name
- Tick "Enable experimental development versions (snapshots)"
- Select the most recent snapshot from the list, save and play

Difficulty is NORMAL / Creeper-damage is OFF / Fire-spread is OFF / PvP is OFF

Grief protection (when I'm online):
- Clear a 2x3 vertical space for command blocks under your property
- Yell at me to come do stuff

Grief protection ticket (when I'm NOT online):
- Clear a 2x3 vertical space for command blocks under your property
- Make a note of the distance from there to the edge of your property (radius)
- Make a note of the co-ordinates (press F3)
- Enter command /ticket cuboid <x> <y> <z> <radius>
- It'll say "unknown command", just ignore that
- I'll see it and come set up a cuboid for you when I'm next online

Good news, we've now got grief protection using command blocks. Ask an op (just me for now) to protect a cuboid area; players that enter it won't be able to break blocks. You can also use this method to lock your chests by placing blocks over them.
