I have a good idea to ensure fairness with this secret santa. On the day that we exchange gifts, we all put the gift we are sending first into a chest, and if someone does not place their gift they are sending into the chest first, then they don't receive the gift that someone has sent to them, and instead is just returned back to the owner.

It sounds like a pretty good way to ensure fairness to me. What does everyone else think?

Here is how it worked last year: we had plenty of time to place gifts. People who did not place gifts were annoyed if they didn't. worked pretty well last time. Plus, its opt in so only people who are actually going to do it should be involved.

People can often have the impression that they are opting in to receive gifts only, and not end up giving anything when asked, though.

Pretty sure they would read the rules. If someone hasn't, and they see this, go read the rules.

Well I won't be home on the 1st of December and I will be getting back on Escapecraft on the 8th. Does my present have to be in before that or do we have a few weeks?

Anything helps. <3
Also, Im rather shocked at the amount of entries (In a good way). Ill try my best to keep on top of it.

Er, I don't think Secret Santa works that way. You can't send a gift to the same person you are receiving a gift from, if I am correct.

Usually it's a random draw deal, so it's possible that an exchange like that could happen.

Well moozil as long as its something someone wants to get. and not dirt then yeah it can be "Worth" As much as you like. if your rich then you can afford to give more. but if you want to give 1 diamond then sure. I mean if you CAN give more then please do. but if not then 1 dia is fine.
