Ok good friends! its time for a topic change! Thats right this time i want You at home, to post pictures of your favorite building! the rules still stand, it can only be somebody elses if they give permision.
hello, you are all probably aware of the amount of sexy this server produces in its people in some of the wonderful buildings. his idea was actually Lennie's as he knows i love taking screen-shots... in this topic i want everyone and anyone who has something they are proud of or even something they think is cool.
TOPIC RULES:
1. do NOT post anything from your singleplayer or any other server. (if you absolutely have to put it in a spoiler ok)
2. do NOT put down anyone else's creations, it isn't the escapian way!
3.nothing rude or inappropriate (eg. swastikas, penis, crucifix ect)
4. dont post pictures of others creations without there permission.
5. HAVE FUN! there are no restrictions to how many pictures you post so take as many as you like :D
============================================================ok im going to start off with some pictures of maniacs tower which me lennie and him were looking at earlier this evening.

Screenshots, eh? I have some laying around.

Most recently I built a random build while waiting for the full MC version to start fresh in a new world. It's nothing "special" but it took over a double chest full of Sandstone, which I made from SAND, so it was awhile to farm the mats. It's pointless, but it's meant as a man-made "natural" wonder of the world, the Great Salt Pillars of Fyra;
2011-11-03_08.43.47.png
It can be seen by heading down the South Fyra rail to near the end of the line. You'll see it on your right (facing west).

I've also built a lot back in Briarton, so here's some screenshots of that stuff too;

Briar Tower. The now broken public mob tower:
MC - Briar Tower.png
Moriarty Apartments. First actual thing I built on this server.
MC - Briarton - Moriarty Apartments.png
Moriarty Headquarters. The plan was to offer building advice, planning, and interior decorating to other players at a price. Even though I did do work for other people, I never did charge them.
MC - Briarton - Moriarty Headquarters.png
The famous Briarton tree farm. In this picture, it was back when other tree types had only just been added, and before it was renovated to allow all of the types to grow. At this stage it allowed the growth of 2,048 trees. It lagged even the best computers to even look at it.
MC - Briarton - Tree Farm.png
Cow Island Lighthouse. It was a light house that Jagorrax challenged me to build, so I did. It's on Cow Island, a hand-sculpted island that got the name "Cow Island" due to when it was complete, Alfy invited Wokka to come look at it, which he did and then spawned 200 cows. It was too laggy to even take a screenshot of the event.
MC - Cow Island Lighthouse.png

Most of the Briarton stuff has been griefed to hell and back. A mere shell of it's former glory.

I've built other random things, but nothing I really care about nowadays.

Heh, Cow Island.. that was a good day, Furd.

I do recall taking a screenshot of the actual incident, but I've wiped and restored my .jar many a time since then so more likely than not, it's long gone.

This is the first of a series of three posts. These are some random and old times I had on the server.

This is my first time ever in the Nether. I spent a good 3 hours there. I think at the time I thought the lava fall was pretty cool:

This was the first building I built in Terra. It still exists in the far south. I call it the "Southern Safety Tower." When I first made it, I just used it as a spot to watch out for new people. And it was at that place I met the first people I had ever met on the server. Those two were Aflycon and Furdabip. I've largely abandoned this long ago:
http://i.imgur.com/NPAyI.jpg

This was the "Inn" I built for Afly's town, back in February:
http://i.imgur.com/Ypjyc.jpg

I just, I have no idea:
http://i.imgur.com/Uf8WT.jpg

At one point, I helped run Corinth (the city). One of the things I discovered in the "Plith Town Hall" was Wildwill's "Stripper Pole." Zin popped in from nowhere, and started... doing.. this:

http://i.imgur.com/Ky79z.png

Wait... what... how did we end up here? :P

Oh, and the last, ever official Corinth meeting of leaders. No meeting like this has happened since then (April):

This is something I forgot I had. This was what some of us called "Caketown 2.0." Long story short, Aflycon had a skyscraper in Corinth that needed to go. Adder was on... and decided to do it in style. Lo' and behold, the building was filled to the brink with TNT, and well, while we did try to be controlled in this demolition... it didn't quite lead to the idea solution (in other words, we ended up with a 30-40 block crater).

And these... the screenshots dearest to me. These are of Beorn when it first was starting out, and how it is now. This town is my personal baby on the server. It's amazing to see... what it was like before. I have immense nostalgia:

Beorn's Hall (The Landmark). First building in what is now Beorn. I tried to model it off of the Tolkien image of Beorn's Hall. This dates back to April 2011, when Fyra first opened. Not too much is different:
2011-04-23_01.06.39.png
2011-11-03_23.18.24.png
The second building I worked on was the Town Hall. Afly... helped. :P
2011-04-27_00.02.18.png
2011-11-03_23.19.38.png
The first two houses in Beorn. Afly was working on his at the time. Now, the area is so built up:

Old Downtown Beorn:

This is facing what was a gift of Jagorrax, the "Gift of Corinth." At the time, it was on an island in the middle of a vast archipelego of forest:
2011-05-12_01.00.26.png
2011-11-03_23.24.46.png
The first image was of the Beorn Lighthouse still being worked on. The second is that view now. You can no longer even see the Lighthouse. :P
2011-05-12_01.00.58.png
2011-11-03_23.25.56.png
And the town (not the entire town, but the central part of it) in whole, as it is now:

Man, Beorn has changed so much. Even back when I joined in Mid-June it was still really empty, only a couple spaced out houses. Now it's sprawling over the entire area. I am nostalgic for ye olde times, with the rolling hills and grass, and the giant untouched area with a sign saying "Future Site of Beorn Mob Tower".
And then the digging...oh the digging...

Also, my house used to be a horrifically ugly wooden cube  It was nothing but wood planks. I had made a set of gold armor earlier to show off to people, and then I decided to start putting in my iron and gold blocks in the house instead. And this progressed to its current state of diamonds and sandstone :P

The village!!! Ziggylord went out there and took pictures - maybe he can post them in this thread? It was our conversation that evening about their love of "screenshot" photography and finding cool builds...that inspired this thread.

ziggy do you still have those shots?

Ah, our village. Nice to see you used SMP revival to take those, since it looks like crap in vanilla.

I'm surprised no one has built near it yet. Maybe people see the giant mountain range and fail to realize there's a nice valley nestled inside.

Also, here's a screenie of my floating castle in skylands. Which I STILL haven't finished the roof on. Damn 81 block diameter stone slab cone...
