[Poll] How did you find us?

Over the past weekend we saw an explosion of growth with having over 600 players connect to the server. It got pretty crazy, but also very exciting at the same time. I felt it was a good idea to have another one of these polls going so we can see exactly where and how you new players found Escapecraft.

I browsed the usergroups, Escapecraft was one of the biggest out there. It caught my eye.

Other - Forums. I can't remember exactly what board, but I saw some people talking about escapecraft on one of these two. I decided that once I buy MC, this would the the server to go to.

My friend, Badalligator, found you and knew I would like it. This was after he'd gotten BADLY griefed on another server (which said they handled things like that) and the owner himself ignored his repeated requests for help (as they destroyed my friend's house around him). So, after cooling off for a day or so, he went looking for another server and saw that you were recommended on the Escapist.

However, before we joined, I reviewed your website and forums to see how things were run. It looked good (and your server is run as advertised, I'm happy to report) so we joined.

He tends to play lots of different games constantly and so only logs in here occasionally. (I tend to be a play-only-1-or-2-games type person.)

Way back in February, when I had just bought Minecraft, I was trying to turn it on to another friend of mine. He did some searches of his own to read about it, and found the puzzle mod "Escapecraft." When I did a search for Escapecraft, instead of finding the puzzle mod, I found this multiplayer server. I read some of the forums, decided I liked what I saw, and signed in.

Unlike many, I wasn't under the misapprehension that this server (at the time) was "that" Escapecraft.

Alot has changed, even since then! I believe that was not long after Beta 1.2_01.

When i orignally found this server i was looking for a Role playing server(xD) and i never found it. escapecraft came up in results and i check it out. from then on, i was hooked

I first showed up during Alpha, I believe during the last few days of II or in the first few days of III. I found the server the same way as you though.

I am the sole person, thus far, who found EC through the Minecraft Official Forums. It was recommended to me.

Found you on the escapist, on the intervjue or whatever it was about the imperial city.
So I joned to see what it was all about, and I must say, my first impression of the server was bad, I was really tempted to just leave and never come back xD
Because I joined on the last test map, everything was grifed and giant forest fires

but I would not give up before I had seen IC (I did not know it was a temp map and that IC was not in it) and in my search I heard about you ventrilo server, and I joined and guess what was happening?

lucky for you Lord was a lordy Lord and made me stay with his swag, and I then learned it was only a temp map and I stayed for a few more days and I got to see the imperial city and Mydrox showed me his pimped place and that was enough to make me stay

... I guess i wrote more then I was supose to, but I'm in hyper writing mood atm xD

Planet Minecraft is one of the best sites ever. I found this server through a preview of the Imperial City from Elder Scrolls. I still want to go see the progress of that castle

I was browsing user groups on the Escapist shortly after Alpha Multiplayer had finally been released. I found the usergroup, and since then have been a member of this great server.

Other. I started helping with HeroBlockCity, the next Escapecraft project, and was looking through MrScaryMuffin's videos and found one about this server. Haven't looked back since :D

a server list for me, but i can say i was borderline quiting becuse of so many things that happend on my first day.
first you were having huge lag problems, i got griefed, i got a warning from pinnmissile, and i almost rage quited, ive burned through 5 minecraft servers sience index (yes i played in index) and this is by far the best community, best moneders, best system in generel that ive seen, and i dont plan to quit.

I watched derigin and hg_xiphias playing it before i actually had minecraft. Then after a while i started playing more and more after i think 1.7 or 1.8 was on the server. At first i hated it because of all the lag, but the lag got better, and by the time i got vet, i had an automatic melon farm in the sky.

I was playing minecraft single player, feeling all nerdy and stuff since minecraft was all blocks and stuff. I kept it from my friends until I decided to come out of the closet only to find out they played Minecraft in an online server together so they invited me over, I was excited ! I never played online; it was feeling lonely in single player pretending Herobrine was real just to feel accompanied.

Anyways, I came onto the server because of my friends which unfortunately have lost interest in it. But hey, they did what they were born to do, lead me here to my destinyyyyyyyyyy. *epic music*
