How did you hear about us?

Post by Cho » 15 Nov 2010, 19:39

So, I was curious... how did you find this server? See us somewhere on The Escapist? A friend? LRR? Some other forum? Or a strange confluence of seemingly random events lead you here?

I honestly can't remember, so I'm going to say I came with the server.

The Escapist Team Fortress 2 user group had an announcement with a link to the group. Followed the link, and loved it.

I found the Old Escapia server via the LoadingReadyRun podcast. Apparently, at least one of the LRR crew plays on our server, though I'm not sure what that person's username is.

I read the original thread made by the original group founder and server host Terkaal. I'd played with Minecraft a little before, but not much since I didn't know what to do.

I tried Minecraft before he (the creator, Notch i think) made the survival part of it (Minecraft classic i think it's called now) with some friends, but that was only for a week or two.

Then the same friend who showed me classic show me the Alpha version, a good three months ago now.
A couple of weeks later i bougth it, a week later or so he told me about the escapist server, since then i've been playing on it.

I was introduced to the server by Lathania. I immediately found it to be a lot more friendly and organised than the others I'd been on, and so I decided to stay~

When Assault Banhammers are used to full effect, the survivors tend to be much nicer.

There was a post about the usergroup in one of the other usergroups on the Escapist (I think it was the TF2 usergroup), but that was before I had Minecraft.
Later I purchased Minecraft and joined the usergroup.

Sort of, though the Warhammer 40k weapon you're thinking of is a Thunder Hammer. FOR THE EMPRAH!!!

I found the group from remembering that there was a MineCraft group, got MineCraft, and immediately started playing on the server.

Hilarity ensued when I had no idea how to make a crafting bench.

I did a search on Google for "best minecraft server"

Found a forum (it might have been Escapist) talking about this server. Sure, maybe they were biased... but I've tried a lot of other servers, and it truly is the BEST!
