I was listening to the LRR podcast. Alex and Graham were talking about it. I downloaded Minecraft, and I joined when the server was last reset. I've enjoyed every second of it. Even the lava diving.

Found it on a server list as i was looking for a server to play on. Normally i don't get so stuck in a server. Mostly i build a huge thing and leave. this was at lot more fun.

I had some problems with the previous server I've been on. I loved a lot of guys there, but I had problems with even more. I started searching server lists and I found this. I always read the escapist and still somehow I missed this.

I hope this will be my new home :)

Yeah ok then, found minecraft through a youtuber who talked about free games, this was before it was so popular on escapist. When I bought alpha I hated every server I ever found and just played SP. Then I saw an article on escapist and found the group.

I finally found a sexy server that I enjoyed(impossibru!) best memory was rebuilding infes's giant wooden tower, then black burned it down again. Then we rebuilt it, again.... then the wipe was announced. and now another wipe has been announced.

Also, I WAS THE FIRST POST! In our shiny forums here.

I was there when the group was started, when the Escapist first heard of Minecraft through that fateful thread...

I made mod on that server.
It was awesome.

I searched "minecraft servers" on google, and clicked on a link that had like 1,000. I randomly picked this one after testing a few others.

A LONG chain of events.
1. I went on youtube and looked for amazing
2. 3 vid down was a video about set paper on fire
3. Then i dropped my iPod (how i was watching youtube)
4. it selected a video that was about minecraft
5. I then bought minecraft
6. Then after days of Minecraft I ask my friend about what his favorite server was
7. he told me the ip
8 i kept asking people for kewl servers and after asking a buch of people from a bunch of diferent servers i found Escapia

"The" LRR sounds like calling Lego, "Legos." It just isn't right, baby. However, "The LRR podcast" would fit. ;-)

Incidentally, that is how I originally heard about this server, but didn't have a computer capable of playing Minecraft (lolwut?). Only when I got a new computer on January 1st, 2011 was I able to and immediately went looking for servers on The Escapist. I found the "official" one, but it was barren and abandoned, so found another topic containing THIS one, tried it out and then ate a croissant. With cheese. And butter. It was good.

Saying the LRR is short for "The Loading Ready Run" so in a sense, this is acceptable, also saying LEGOs is as well, and to prove my point I went to google! *Heroic pose*

So it can be either way ;3

But "Legos" sounds so so wrong. Like someone who has no idea what it is, trying to talk about it. And LRR is known as LoadingReadyRun, no "the"... It just sounds wrong to ME. Communication-wise, I understand what is being talked about and am just nitpicking.

Toys"R"us is a major toy store chain, and if they say "Legos" then chances are its ok to say.

I was searching on Youtube for a walkthrough for the Escapecraft custom map, (Because that map is FREAKIN' hard,) when I stumbled across a "trailer" for this server. (Sorry, Haxx0rdood, but those videos were a bit cheesy.) Anyway, even though the video was a bit cheesy, I saw all the stuff on the video, and they look PREETY cool. So I saw the IP address, and bingo! Hello Escapia! (And I read the rules on this website for the server, don't worry.) :D
