Mojang's Monetisation Rules

Post by TheBaldr » 17 Jun 2014, 08:26

These rules go into effect August 1st.

https://mojang.com/2014/06/lets-talk-se ... etisation/
https://mojang.com/2014/06/lets-talk-se ... low-up-qa/

How it effects Escapecraft:
Escapecraft can no longer sell kits.

Donation Ranks are allowed.
However these perks are not allowed as they effect gameplay mechanics:
*Access to unlimited /home command
*Backpacks
*Better pistons
*Two /home (set one or two with a name)
*Cooking pots

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, the staff all live under rocks and never see any Minecraft news. :P

But seriously though, we're already looking into revamping our perks to bring them in line with these changes. Stay tuned for future announcements, but rest assured - we won't short-change our donators. Any perks we retire will be replaced with new, exciting things. :)

hum.... I dislike the new policy... I LIKE HOMES ! oh well. nothing I can do I guess.
Opportunity knocks but once, Temptation leans on the door bell.

The limit of the Willing Suspension of Disbelief for a given element is directly proportional to the element's awesomeness.

Blame other servers (and parents) being wildly irresponsible and ruining things for everyone else.

Guys, don't panic. We're considering a few things we can consider switching to should the need arise.

This mostly affects servers that allow players to pay for blocks or the ability to mine or stuff. We've tried to be pretty good with not paying for vanilla minecraft stuff besides the kits which were introduced in the before times (I think early Version 3)
