We got a slight horse problem...

It's old but gold. If it could help you out we've probably chucked it in here.

We got a slight horse problem...

Post by Dnlvickers5 » 25 Mar 2014, 00:54

So, today, Wtd, foxes, and I were merrily strolling through escpaecraft, when we realized that we weren't getting any horse spawns near our claim. There were, however, about 20 horses on an island that have been there for the past week.

When we tried riding them, we were told that we could not kill/ride them because they were owned by someone else.

There were a lot of them, and none of the horses were near the claims of the person that owned them, so we decided some alternative methods of extermination... We tried dousing them in lava, suffocating them in a wall, and drowning them in water. All proved futile against the mighty horses of escapecraft.

After these failures, we alerted the staff members that were on at the time, and quickly found that they encountered the same problems. We tried burning them, blowing them up, drowning, hitting, suffocating, dropping from heights, and more. All attempts were failures.

Eventually, we were left with this...

We soon yielded to the horses, and decided to move them to a top-secret location so that they can no longer stop horse spawns.

After moving them to their new home, we quickly fortified and sealed them so that they could not spread throughout the world of escapecraft.

And thus, we were saved, once again, by our protectors, Deri and daemon.

But seriously, this is a problem...

Why not simply drop them into the void beneath?

had this issue with a donkey I sat on once by mistake. It decided it was mine and I had to hunt it down for Iron_fang as it was in his way. The KEY to removing them is to claim the land around them, Murder them, then un-claim the land. Though I did this and it was my horse, I have no idea if you can murder someone else s horse that is in your land.

I will admit this was the most ridiculous fun I've had in a long time. :P

Operation Horse Lift was fantastic.

I've been testing a new plugin to help alleviate some of our problems with horses. Hoping to implement late tonight when there aren't many on the server.
