This is Escapecraft's roadmap for 2015 - what you can expect from our Minecraft worlds throughout the year. None of these are set in stone; expect things like version updates to shift forward or back depending on demand and added features.

So far in 2015...
- January: Development on new project begins
- February: Horizons moves from Rainbow to Spigot

March
- First teaser of Directions projects - Forefront, Flashback, Uprising and Downfall
- Horizons death chests and other tweaks

April-May
- All quiet on the Minecraft front... sorry about that

June
- Horizons/TNA v2.0 update to be completed
- Terraria 1.3 to be released - Escapecraft server relaunch
- Project Forefront to be revealed!

2014 roadmap (TNA)
Spoiler! :
TNA has been out for a bit over a week and things are going well. I've been extremely pleased with the return of many players and the support we've received from the community.

TNA isn't finished, we still have a lot of plans. Right now, we are focusing on resolving a few outstanding bugs, but we'll soon start adding new things to the server.

These are not promises, some items will be pulled from the list if we run into technical or balance issues, but just to give you some ideas on what we are trying to do.
  • Economy plugin
  • Shops plugin
  • Realtime map plugin
  • Custom Titles
  • Lots of VIP perks
  • Enigma returns!
  • Veteran > Elder > Ancient rank upgrades for non-VIP
That's the highlights, we'll have other things as well.

If you are wondering what this Elder and Ancient ranks are, they are just upgrades to Veteran. They are achievements for played time and will come after Veteran. The amount of played hours to achieve those are still be worked through, we'll announce when they go into effect.

Give us your feedback

VIP Perks and details: These ranks are getting the following perks in addition to what they have now:

Veteran:
  • backpack with 9 slots
  • hidden switches
  • lightstone tool
  • painting switcher
  • xp storeer
Nobility:
  • unlimited /home
  • backpack with 18 slots
Royalty:
  • better pistons
  • cooking pots
  • Everything Nobility has...
  • backpack with 27 slots
Imperial:
  • 2 homes
  • Everything Royalty and Nobility have...
  • backpack with 36 slots
Sponsor:
  • Everything Imperial, Royalty and Nobility have...
  • backpack with 54 slots
Yes, we have a new rank being introduced, Imperial gets the same perks as Royalty, but with a bigger backpack and 2 homes. The cost of this rank is being set at $10 and we'll have more perks in the future given to this rank, as well as some others. This is not all of the changes planned, we have more in the works.

Sounds like everything there is a step in the right direction. I'm excited to make trading easier and if there is some automated way to trade resources up, or to trade while offline I'm all for it. I hope the custom titles are more than just for mods and admins. If so I can see some interesting names on the server.

Before the inevitable post, Invun, no are not [G] or [gangsta] and you cannot call yourself that.

The current proposal we're discussing has Ancient requiring a lot of playtime.

We've got the vet upgrades implemented, I'm not going to say how long till elder or ancient, let the community figure that out :)

I've added Enigma to the list, we are working on bringing it back, but no ETA at this time.

Elder and Ancient get no additional perks at this time, but we are working on things to add for them. Right now, it's just a title change to show how long you've been here.

I'm still working on these promised perks. Made some great progress, should have more announcements soon.

Also, /qs is now fixed for Nobility, but I think it's a bit buggy, let us know what your results are.

Also, as promised, Sponsor got an upgrade today. While it's not longer available, it gets everything we offer for VIP perks.

For those of you who have been asking for Sponsor to return, that was a limited time offer, but I'll soon have something almost as good. Keep your eyes peeled to this thread :)

Please note: The plugin for xp storer imposes a Tax, you lose xp in the conversion

Had to switch the XP storer back to default, when mining redstone ore, it would convert your XP into bottles, ugh.

No, there are no settings in the plugin to fix the problem.

Well that sounds... unpleasant... These are some really sweet perks though, I assume that each rank is + the ones below it?

Would it be possible to add icons for towns, settlements and points of interest on the dynamic map?

There are also a number of players unaware of the map, so could a server message about it be added?
