Escapecraft

Hello everyone, with the new 1.7 world being released soon, and the player count sadly rather low I think it is a perfect opportunity for the community to get together and promote Escapecraft - get it up back to where it used to be. It's a great server and a shame that it cannot be enjoyed by more people.
Here is a list of some ideas and things that we can all do to help...

List of assets we have:
- The forum with 3500 users
- Steam Group 239 users
- Escapist Magazine - 5th biggest user group with 763 users.

PlanetMinecraft, MineStatus, Minecraftforums, Minecraft-servers.info, theminecraftserverlist, minecraftservers.net, Yogscast forums, Serverlister, MCSlist, Topg - all these can be bumped/voted on.
If you've got any friends who might play Escapecraft / or used to INVITE them back! tell them how great 1.7 is and how great TNA is going to be
If you have a youtube channel then it'd be great to put some server footage up (I have 250 subs left over from when I used to do Minecraft videos so i'm planning on posting some videos and stuff).

Every time I suggest escapist magazine I get told we have no relation with them anymore.. which I guess we don't, but yeah. Everything else though, I'm all for it >.>

Don't think we have anything to do with them over there officially. I'm still active over there a lot, in reality it's the only outlet that I'd be likely to dedicate enough time to. I definitely think that we could at least coax out some old members from the woodwork, there's plenty around. Steam might be a safer bet, people are less likely to have stopped being active there than The Escapist or anywhere else really.

Yeah, anything anybody does will help. Any ideas/suggestions?
I've been inviting a couple of people from minecraftforum.net who are looking for servers, it does reflect well on the server you're promoting when you're not a staff member or anything yet recommending it.

I wonder if we should get some folks together and do a proper promo video for the server? Showcase some of the best builds and cities, and promote the new start.

There is an official server youtube channel; if you want to contribute I'm sure you could talk to shaunpat (It starts with an 's', ok) about it.

Is there any interest in creating a Promo video for the relaunch? You all know better than I do the ins and outs of the server/needs of the server, Its been a while since I was active but if figured id throw my two cents in and see what happens

We were going to, and started one. But as usual it didn't get finished. I'll poke around and see if that project's revivable.

I'm doing as much as I can to help. So far not so successful but I've gotten a few friends.
