Personally, I'd like to see them integrate something like SpoutCraft.

That's the thing that allows mods to be auto-downloaded when you join a server, correct?

I believe so.
Personally I would prefer no mods like that and more stable and sane server software overall.

Have you ever been banned by a mod prior to offering to run the server?

Did you and rembrandtq have harsh rivalries back in the day (assuming you knew him)?

Have you ever contemplated destroying the CUT Executive Headquarters?

Did you kill anyone during the awokkalypse?

Nope, I behaved myself for the most part :)
Invunarble wrote:Did you and rembrandtq have harsh rivalries back in the day (assuming you knew him)?
Not at all, he had pretty much quit playing MC back then and was helpful with questions, etc.
Invunarble wrote:Have you ever contemplated destroying the CUT Executive Headquarters?
The plan is in progress...

Which one, we've had several, and yes of course, its a last man standing type of event.

I have an executive one in addition to the regular one now? I'm losing track of all my assets.

Which didn't stop me following you around, suspecting up-to-no-goodness. And I was right to trust my instincts, since you are now my boss.

Well, I mean, if your headquarters isn't Executive, then I guess none of the server rules were ever discussed, proposed, or negotiated within that structure, essentially showing that CUT had no say in server bylaws.

Or, you're just losing track of all your assets.

I can answer that, if you are in game and you type /tolteca it tells you how big it is. This works for a few other worlds as well. :)

Wokka, how did you ask Sneaky if you could host the server instead of him? Like, how did you approach him with it? It would be pretty hard to get me to trust someone enough to give them full control over my server. Not that I have one, just an example.

As stated in another post, just type /tolteca for information about it, you will likely learn a few other things too.
LS13 wrote:What is the funniest thing you have done to troll a player?
I don't troll players, what are you talking about?
Eddietester1066 wrote:Any plans to head to Austin next weekend for the F1 race?
Nah, never was that interested in watching racing.

Sent him a PM giving my "gaming" resume, explaining what I had done in the past and what I could offer the community, we setup a time so we could chat in Vent and he pretty much interviewed me. I guess I'm trustworthy enough sounding, plus the server was struggling almost daily with issues, but it worked out in the end.

It wouldn't be secret anymore if I told it :)

Do you go on browser games much? If so, which games/websites?

What's your favourite type of food & drink combination?

Do you have a favourite card game?

Is there anything you regret doing with the server?

Do you watch any web series/Youtube channels?

What's a typical wokka day?

What's been the best day of your life so far?

Are you paying too much for your car insurance?

Wildwill002 wrote:Do you go on browser games much? If so, which games/websites?
Very rarely do I have time when I'm sitting at a computer where I don't have anything to do. If I do need to relax and play a game that isn't involved, I have been known to visit http://www.andkon.com/arcade/
Wildwill002 wrote:What's your favourite type of food & drink combination?
Jack and Coke with a steak.
Wildwill002 wrote:Do you have a favourite card game?
My family plays a lot of games, and many are card games. I probably don't have a favorite, but a few of them that I prefer would be Rage (made by UNO years ago), Liverpool Rumy and Hearts.
Wildwill002 wrote:Is there anything you regret doing with the server?
There are always things that hindsight will show that you didn't do correctly or it would have been better if I had made different decisions. PvP was a time waste for the staff, and while some players enjoyed it, we should have utilized our time elsewhere. Combining the worlds and not closing them was another bad decision, having so much land and having players so spread out wasn't the right thing to do either. We made several good decisions too, I'm extremely happy with how Borjan and Tolteca have done.
Wildwill002 wrote:Do you watch any web series/Youtube channels?
The Guild and Retarded Policeman are the only two that I watch regularly.
Wildwill002 wrote:What's a typical wokka day?
Typical day for me would start with my day job, which pays the bills around here, I go into the office, take care of real work things until I get to the point where I'm waiting on emails or automated processes to finish. During this down time, I usually check the EC forums to see what needs my attention, then hop onto IRC to deal with PM's and see how things are there. I'm usually multi-tasking back and forth with the real job and EC. This goes on throughout the day, and if you've ever seen me online, you've noticed that I'm frequently afk. In the evenings, I grab dinner, sit down and relax to a bit of TV. After that, I typically try to play a PC game or two to relax, and sometimes that is minecraft, but not always.
Wildwill002 wrote:What's been the best day of your life so far?
I've had many, it's hard to narrow down just one.
Wildwill002 wrote:Are you paying too much for your car insurance?
I don't think so, I recently switched and it wasn't to Geico, their rates are horrible.
Victini998 wrote:But you said AMA.....Oh well I guess a secret is a secret
It's an AMA, not an answer anything :) Sorry, I do have to keep some secrets, or we wouldn't have anything to unveil later on.

To get more info out to the community and give them a chance to ask questions. Our Fireside chats / Q&A sessions weren't attended or downloaded very much, so I'm trying another tactic to involve the community.
davejavu wrote:Worst moment(s) of your life? Lol.
Ugh, tons of these, I'd rather not have to relive them.

What are some of the other games you typically play?

Do you think spelunking is a funny/silly word?
What is the worst game youve played/wasted money on?
What next do you have planned for the server?
What do you wish you could un-implement from the server? (but wont/cant)
Do you have an embarrassing story about yourself you are willing to share with us?

It varies a lot, I have a wide selection. This last week I played Wing Commander 1 - 4, Freelancer, and swgemu.com
random980 wrote:Do you think spelunking is a funny/silly word?
It is, but if you did your research on that word, we don't call it spelunking :)
random980 wrote:What is the worst game youve played/wasted money on?
World of Warcraft - Cataclysm expansion
random980 wrote:What next do you have planned for the server?
Selling it to the highest bidder and running off to Hawaii with the proceeds.

I havent so much as stared in the general direction of the PvP entrance in the HUB since it was first implemented nor have i payed any attention to it on the forums since the PvP Big Build. :/ So as far as PvP goes, I am absolutely clueless about any happenings to it on this server.
Ill change my question, Why exactly was PvP removed, why were the renovations cancelled and is there any possibility of it coming back?

What's the strangest thing you think the British do?

How long have you lived in Texas?

Favourite game genre?

Most played game on steam?

Favourite dessert?

Best book you've ever read?

If you became a cyborg, what would you have installed on yourself in terms of weaponry and software? (Can be anything, go wild with your imagination)

random980 wrote:Favourite pizza? and favourite single pizza topping?
Italian sausage and bell pepper, chicago style deep pan.
random980 wrote: Why exactly was PvP removed, why were the renovations cancelled and is there any possibility of it coming back?
PvP was removed for a couple of reasons, primarily being that a small percentage of our playerbase went to that world, it was a drain on our resources and very few of our staff wanted to work on it. I cancelled the revamp based on these reasons.
TEKNOVIRUS wrote:May I also ask if there is any additions maybe in ye future to the VET rank?
Nothing planned at the moment, but we are always looking at ways to add more features. However, we have to weigh in compatibility of plugins with what we run already, server performance and whether a new feature will break our core concepts of a survival server.
DaemonLee wrote:Hello Wokka! I would like to ask what are the servers' hardware, exact models? I ask because I would like to get in to running and operating servers. (I have an idea for a security camera network for my landlord. :D)
The servers are whitebox, so no model number, they are using Supermicro motherboards, Intel Ivy Bridge xeon processors, E3-1230's.
DaemonLee wrote:What do you think of Supermicro? Bad, good, smelly?
As you can see from my previous answer, I like Supermicro, good price on them, specs depend on what you will be running on them.
DaemonLee wrote:Also do you have any words to say to an aspiring server monkey/programmer?
Learn linux/unix, c++, shell scripting, php/mysql and Java
davejavu wrote:What do you plan to do when the Minecraft API is released?
Upgrade to it once the plugins are ready
Wildwill002 wrote:What's the strangest thing you think the British do?
Call dinner/supper "tea time"
Wildwill002 wrote:How long have you lived in Texas?
All of my life, was born here.
Wildwill002 wrote:Out of all the players that have been banned, who was the most annoying?
Wildwill002
Wildwill002 wrote:Favourite game genre?
MMORPG, since I tend to play those more.
Wildwill002 wrote:Most played game on steam?
According to steam, its Counter-Strike, but I have rarely played it, however, my son did use my account for many months to play it. The 2nd on the list which was played by me is TF2, with Terrari being next.
Wildwill002 wrote:Favourite dessert?
vanilla-bean cheesecake
Wildwill002 wrote:Best book you've ever read?
I'm not sure if I can narrow this down to just one, but here are a few of my favorites: Ready Player One, Battlefield Earth, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter series
Wildwill002 wrote:If you became a cyborg, what would you have installed on yourself in terms of weaponry and software? (Can be anything, go wild with your imagination)
I'd say a computer connected to my mind with upgradeable storage :)
