Hip Hop Music

Post by dombyrne13 » 20 Jun 2012, 15:12

Don't hate guys, it's good you know. Anyone here like any hip hop/rap? I personally (among other genres) enjoy some old eminem, D12, Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse, some kanye, some jay-z, some kanye and jay-z together, among other artists. Im also a fan of a few lesser known artists, but im not gonna go into that until at least one of you convinces me im not alone :D

This is the closest thing I could find to your so-called "hip hops" that I listen to.

I make a point of listening to this at least once a day for the following reasons:
A. It makes me feel better about the outcome of my day, regardless of whether or not it was good.
B. It reminds me of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which is always good.
C. It's motherfucking Ice Cube.

My very vague knowledge on the subject extends to Tyler, The Creator. And even then, it's only one or two tracks.

I'm normally very open to most kinds of music, but rap is where I draw the line. I just don't see the appeal at all.

Only group I've listened to. Actually have creative lyrics (some of the time). And they're pretty funny.

I also love the references to games like Socom on their cd's and interviews with Method Man talkin' about the game. I've seen em on the game back in the day on the PS2 believe it or not...

I enjoy Tyler, the Creator because he's very expressive, and OFWGKTA's TV show, Loiter Squad, is very funny. I don't really like his music that much, I just like him as a person. Also he mentions Led Zeppelin in one of his songs, so that's cool.

Tupac, Biggie Smalls, NWA. All classics :P

I mainly listen to Eminem and some of D12's old stuff, Slaughterhouse, Wiz Khalifa, Fiddycent, G-Unit, Kid Cudi, the above classic rappers, and some Jay-Z tracks (I don't like his new ones .-.). I dislike Yelawolf though. Combined with all the advertising Em does for Yelawolf, and the fact that his music is kind of slow compared to others doesn't make me too fond of him.

Because I'm apparently destined to go through every phase ever:
