Re: Religion and atheists

@697 Wait. What? You mean you think all scientific theories have equal likelihood of being correct? Or do you mean it's a fact that those are scientific theories? Which, of course, is true - they are scientific theories. Edit: Or are you saying a theory is the same as a fact? And that if something ...

Re: Religion and atheists

Ok, but the question "Who is God to you?" is (by the way it's phrased) asked in the context of God already exists. So, being an atheist, even though you are interested in religions and people's thought processes, why would you (assuming you would) enter the discussion to say that God doesn't exist?...

Well, I understand the attraction of pointing out facts when someone has got them wrong. But there is a big difference between the "fact" that salt is composed of sodium-cloride and the "theory" of the big bang. Religion and atheists

I am curious. Atheists, by definition, don't believe in God. I assume that means, usually, that they don't believe in religion since most religions have a god (or more). If this is true - and my basic assumptions may not be - why would atheists bother to post in a thread on some aspect of religion? ...

Re: Who is God to You?

@697,

Please take a look at the OP and the title of this thread.

This thread is not about scientific theory. Now, if you want to discuss that and why I think you're wrong about what you just posted, then feel free to start another thread. And we can talk there.

Re: Who is God to You?

I'll have to take a look at that experiment. Although, interestingly enough, I've seen proof of natural selection - just not of evolution. And yes the other things are theories, too. And why yes, it does bother me when they are taught as fact in school rather than theory. But back to the topic. Who ...

Well, I'm not so sure why there are so many abandon thread posts. If you want to abandon the thread, the easiest thing to do is to stop posting in it or reading in it. @Furd, You remind me of a woman I met when I was a Wiccan. From what I understand, the truly interesting things take ENORMOUS amounts of resources. So, without the collectors, the players would level the map.

Is this the same old for donators? I.e. before the royalty levels Since old "vip" donators have permanent donation status, yes, they have permanent Tekkit access. Well, assuming you don't get banned, of course. And remember, doing a bannable action on Tekkit will get you banned on our main server. ...

Clarification on Tekkit access for donators

Access to the Tekkit server is a donator perk. We had a bit of a miscommunication within staff about exactly what this meant. So after additional discusion, we have determined the following. For a limited time, until 1 Sept 2012, anyone who is a donator or donates during that time frame will have ac...

Re: Easy mode, Hard mode, lets do it!

i think hard mode would be cool because the game would become more interesting and people would have to stick together. and as long as we help the new players get to towns where cut restaurants are then they wont starve to death and will want to stick around. I'd rather have Normal, so that we don'...

I dont really have an opinion on the difficulty change, apart from that hard would be silly. Hard would just make certain things too difficult but easy/normal really represents no change. However, i think removing /gs is only going to have a negative effect on the server. Towns further away from th...

We removed the soulsand to glowstone because it allowed glowstone farming. And generally exploits are disabled without warning. However, we are looking at a method to allow soulsand to be used as glowstone lighting - but without any farming abilities.

Well, we do have the food in the starter kit for new players. Plus, they can always go to the guest city area and kill the pigs there for food.

So, I think they can last till they get settled.

We do have a starter kit for new players that has decent food in it. Plus there is food readily available at the Borjan spawn and the new player area.

We're going to clean up the lab area. It's a big mess and most of the devices don't work - and many of them belong to non-active players. If you have something in the lab area, please let me know. I will keep a backup of it for about a month - so we can restore stuff. The wipe will be in the next co...
