Re: The New Map and The roads and rails
I will speak up to this, as I'm the one who is responsible for designing the world. To start out, the world will be 3000x3000. I've found a seed that features every biome, has a good land to water ratio, and will allow for good expansions. The plan is to expand the world as we need to expand it; per...

Re: How can we be successful/popular?
The 20 block rule has existed for a long time, and it seems to function well. From the sounds of it, though, most people just seem to want a single world with reasonable landclaims, so they can still interact with one another.

Re: Support and feedback welcomed!
Aero, you do recognize that this is a con, correct? Every single interview with the ones behind this project show they are completely inept at science and cost, specifically with how to get there and how much it would cost them. I wouldn't be surprised if they simply take the money that people give ...

How did you find us? Why have you stayed?
This is a double whammy question, but fairly straightforward. We're interested in knowing how better to improve ourselves and reach out to more players. If you don't mind, we would love to hear your responses to these questions: First, how did you find us? What or who brought you to the server in th...

Re: How can we be successful/popular?
I don't know how well we can do to find out why the people who are gone left us (because I doubt many of them have stuck around the forums), but I think your suggestion about finding out how people found us and why they stayed would make a good question thread as well.

How can we be successful/popular?
This is a loaded question, I'm sorry, but it's an important one to ask. We've noticed over the last year that the success and popularity of our server has decreased gradually. The reasons for that are numerous, and many are outside of our control (the game losing interest, people moving on, etc.). O...

Re: AMA - Derigin edition
Why u retire beorn? Honestly, it had just run its course. By early 2012, most of the residents had disappeared... and what was once a vibrant town became a rather desolate place. And, at about that time, fewer people were venturing into Fyra in favor of Borjan. So it seemed right to just retire the...

From the looks of it, the water automatically fixes itself. Though I suspect if people make a huge water error, that wont be corrected. But I can't know for sure without testing 1.5.

Re: Anybody else excited/terrified for 1.5?
Well, we're not linking a new nether to Tolteca yet - server performance. Players will be able to generate new chunks in the nether for the blocks. And I'll see if I have time to trim the parts of the nether where no one has buildings to speed that up and make things closer to spawn. No promises, t...
