For future reference, download the Minecraft version changer from http://mcvc.in to switch to any version of Minecraft easily. The program auto-updates whenever a new version comes out, and it's got a full list of every MC version to choose from.

At one time I had Pokemon Yellow, Crystal, Ruby, and FireRed. Don't have them anymore though unfortunately. You sir are an amazing person minus not having them. If it's any consolation, I had Pokemon Blue, Yellow, Gold, Ruby, FireRed, Diamond, HeartGold, White and Black 2 - and still have them today.

Delete your minecraft/bin folder, get new copy of Minecraft, get MCVC from http://mcvc.in/ to change your version to whatever you want, problem solved.

I would assume Rebellion and Trinity aren't inter-compatible.
