1. I would make Notch in charge and remove Jeb from the Mojang team. What has Jeb done to offend you? What insights can you offer us that aren't covered by the many other AMA threads springing up on the forums? What is/was your favourite childrens cartoon show? What's the most time you've ever sunk...

Do you even lift? How much do you lift? How many repetitions? How often? Do you use different kinds of weights? Do you lift at home on in a gym? Which muscle groups do you try to work when you lift? Do you have any diet tips to compliment lifting? How long have you been lifting? What have the result...

Re: Getting in shape
My new years resolution:
Get some definition in my almost-but-not-quite-a-six-pack
Also I finally measured my height, (something I've not done since I was a teenager,) and can now figure out things like my BMI and body fat percentage (roughly 20.8 & 11% according to some online calculators).

I have some questions: When you say "competitive" how serious are we talking? Where would the server(s) be and what sort of latancy is acceptable? Is there a/what is the minimum skill level? I've pwned my fair share of PUGs and free-to-players, but just messing around on public servers doesn't prepa...

Just remember that as a teenager you're viewing the world from a very limited perspective. Things that seem very important now will likely seem trivial in the future, & a doomed crush is nothing to be hurting yourself over. Try not to let your happiness hinge on this one girl.

Some naughty folks appear to have opened their chests in the big communal present early. If I ever get rich enough to do this again I must remember to cuboid it until the big day and preserve the surprise. Oh well, I can't get too mad.
Merry Christmas!

Terraria challenge runs
So I'm home for the holidays and deprived of my usual PC. One of the few games that will run on my 2006 laptop is Terraria. After some 300 or so hours logged however the vanilla game has lost some of it's original charm. So I've started thinking up some challenges to give the game some added spice. ...

I didn't ...I mean Santa didn't take into account latecomers when building the big group present. It contains a gift for everyone registered in this thread on the date of construction (the 10th I believe). That includes some people who joined up after the PMs went out, so be sure to check if you th...

Re: Spec Ops: The Line
It might be worth putting the story section in spoiler tags. Your review doesn't give away any overt spoilers, but it does create certain expectations. Which is potentially damaging for a game that relies so heavily on subverting players' expectations of a modern military shooter. Spec Ops is a game...

Re: FTL: Faster than light
Yep, I was only surprised because on paper burst laser Mk2s represent some of the best energy to damage ratio in the game. They all have strengths and weaknesses. I don't think stacking all of any one type is really the way to go. Lasers have a hard time with evasion, Beams are useless against sheil...

4 Burst Laser Mk 2s, weapon pre-igniter, 2 automated re-loaders, on Federation Cruiser with max lvl Artillery Beam, with fully trained crew on Weapons. I just finished a run where I got a whole bunch of burst lasers. I didn't quite have the ideal x4 Mk2 (12 shots), but I did have x2 Mk2 + x1 Mk3 (1...

Re: FTL: Faster than light
75% evade? I've never managed to get higher than 55% (unless you count stealth). Am I missing something? Zoltan shields pretty much negate missiles for the game. The only time they should be able to break through faster than you can disable their weapons is against the flagship. Stealth gives you so...

Re: FTL: Faster than light
Against an unshielded ship double glaive beams with preigniter will obliterate just about anything. Depending on the enemy ship design you can deal up to 30 points of damage instantly. Of course you'd be screwed against anything with 3+ bars of shields. x4 hull missiles might be pretty potent. 16 da...

Re: FTL: Faster than light
I've not unlocked the crystal ship yet, but I have had a crystal crew member a few times. They're great on boarding parties. You can use them to stop enemies from running to the medbay, and block reinforcements so you don't get outnumbered. *edit* Sigh, if only we weren't limited to 8 energy bars wo...

The most offensive power I've ever had in an FTL run.
Got me thinking, assuming you were lucky enough to acquire anything and everything you wanted, which weapon/augmentation/ship combination is the most powerful?

Last book I began was Game of Thrones. Ah. Game of Thrones, I need to remind myself to read and/or watch that one. Looks pretty good.
